Workshop on Emergency skill training for Dentists
MaxFacs Skills Centre, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, MCODS, Mangalore conducted a full day Hands on workshop on Emergency skills training for Dental Interns, Postgraduate students and a private practitioner’s on 8th September 2018. A total of 28 budding dentists participated in the workshop.

The workshop was aimed to build confidence in handling Medical Emergencies among dentists. Forenoon session was designated for training in Basic Life Support, use of AED, Airway Emergencies and Parenteral Injection techniques. In the afternoon session three guest lectures along with mock drills on sudden loss of consciousness by Dr.Jeedu Radhakrishnan (Emergency Medicine Consultant); sudden chest pain by Dr. Rajesh Bhat (Cardiologist) and Allergies and anaphylaxis by Dr. Deepak Madi ( General Medicine physician ). The workshop received good feedback from participants.
